One rule decides this: pick a ball your dog cannot fit entirely inside their mouth. A ball that fits behind the teeth is a choking risk.
5 cm suits small dogs and puppies, 7 cm most medium dogs, and 11 cm large dogs — and strong chewers of any size, where the extra bulk matters more than the breed. When you are between two, size up.
